About Faceform

Faceform scans a face in the browser, measures it, and says plainly what the geometry shows. It is built on one rule: the face never leaves the device.

What it is

A guided, 30-second camera scan that captures your face from five angles, and three tools that read it: the attractiveness test, the face shape detector and the canthal tilt test. Each gives a real result for free. The optional Full Face Report shows everything behind it.

Why on-device

A video of your face is as personal as data gets, and in many countries measurements of a face are biometric data with special legal protection. So Faceform is built the other way round from most face apps: the face model downloads to your browser and every frame is processed there. We never receive an image, a landmark or a score. Our pages also tell your browser to refuse connections to any other site, so the code could not send them elsewhere by mistake. The privacy page walks through each step.

What the score is

The score is computed from the geometry the research on facial attractiveness keeps returning to: symmetry, closeness to the average face, proportions, the eyes, the jaw and chin, and the profile. Each is measured, weighted and mapped to 1.0–10.0 with a formula we publish in full on the methodology page. It is not a model trained on ratings and not a percentile, and the page says exactly where it stops.

How we talk about faces

  • Direct and specific: what was measured, the number, and which way it pushes the score.
  • Every measurement with its unit, and its spread across frames where we have one.
  • “Below average” is a result we will give. Slurs, mockery and the slang of rating forums are not.
  • No comparisons with named people, and no medical or surgical advice.
  • When the camera can’t see something, we say so rather than guess.

How it’s paid for

The scan and the free results cost nothing. The Full Face Report is $9, paid once. There are no ads, no subscriptions and no email list.
